Project Architect

PCA is looking for an experienced architect with a strong focus on interior design with minimum 5+ years experience in the industry.

The ideal candidate would demonstrate strong design, technical, and communication skills (both visually & verbally).  Proficiency in SketchUp & Revit is required, and a solid background in housing, higher education, retail, and new construction is strongly desired.

Interior Designer

PCA is looking for an interior designer to join our robust interior design department.

Within our highly collaborative and design oriented firm, interior design is integrated with architectural projects from the onset. The ideal candidate would work closely with clients, develop programming, advance design direction, prepare and deliver design presentations, interior documentation, and full FF&E selection and specification. Design background in higher education, retail, restaurants, and multi-family housing is preferable. Strong communication and computer graphic skills are required. Experience with client relations is preferred. Candidates should have experience with Revit, SketchUp, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.

Interiors degree required with 3+ years office experience.

Marketing Director

Due to a retirement, we are seeking a Marketing Director to take PCA into 2021 and beyond. With a new brand (website and collateral designed by Combo Creative of Vancouver and Copenhagen) on schedule for launch in January 2021, you will have amazing new tools and materials to work with, and strong support from PCA Leadership in weekly strategy and planning sessions.

Overlap in terms of training and support from the current team will be on hand, and there is a robust marketing infrastructure in place. A 30-hour work week schedule may be possible depending upon the candidate.

Job Description

The Marketing Director works closely with PCA Leadership to craft a clear and compelling narrative based on the firm’s portfolio and culture, as well as the appropriate methods to communicate this both internally and to the public. The Director oversees the visual and content marketing standards of the firm and manages its follow-through, ensuring messaging aligns with key business goals and overall firm mission.

Responsibilities include management and development of creative marketing campaigns, collateral, templates, publicity, corporate graphics, qualifications, proposals and presentation materials, award submittals, conference papers and presentations, market research, and social media strategies. The role includes identifying press opportunities and developing content to be disseminated via social media, PCA’s website, press releases, further distribution channels, and management of the day-to-day relationship with potential external PR firms.

The Director offers support to senior staff in business development activities and management / mentorship of marketing and technical staff. Furthermore, the Director will ensure the effectiveness of communications strategies through relevant data analytics.

The Director supports overall Marketing efforts including proposal strategy and production as well as management of project and staff information, photography, databases, marketing-related deadlines, conference opportunities, advertising and budgeting. The Director will oversee the work of a Marketing Coordinator / Graphic Designer and the work of technical and support staff as needed for specific projects.

The Director exhibits the ability to represent the firm to clients and peer organizations via involvement in marketing and support of BD related activities. Underlying skills include knowledge of marketing fundamentals, understanding of the A/E/C industry, ability to tell a story through writing, creative and informative graphic design, and proficiency in Adobe and Microsoft Office.

Applicant should have a good proportion of skill sets noted below – however, some skill sets may be supplemented / augmented by the Marketing Coordinator.

  • Communication skills – writing / story telling in collaboration with staff and clients
  • Motivation – drive to excel
  • Attention to detail as well as big picture / strategy
  • Ability to set and meet multiple overlapping deadlines
  • A/E/C experience and interest – 5+ years preferred
  • Experience supporting BD leadership with quals, proposals, interview preparation
  • Graphic design + environmental graphic design skills
  • High level proficiency in Adobe and Microsoft Office, and social media platforms
  • Proficiency in Newforma, Deltek Vision a plus
  • Information management (data, templates, project and staff info, tracking, ROI)
  • Budgeting and tracking
  • Bachelor Degree and / or Graphic Design training preferred
