Challenge
Create an intergenerational neighborhood where foster-adoptive families and senior citizens live and care for one another.
Solution
Model multi-unit buildings on the “expanding farmhouse” prevalent in the New England landscape; create a high-density neighborhood with building configurations that address the differing concerns of seniors and families within an adoption community – a program not found in traditional subdivisions.
