At the Boston headquarters of Edens Corporation, PCA reconfigured a disjointed office environment to better suit the needs of the energetic team it housed. Formerly, separated into two parts by a central lobby – relocation of the lobby and kitchen space transformed the 5,800 SF office into an open, collaborative space with beautiful views of the Boston Harbor.
The new open floor plan allows light to permeate throughout the office, and establishes 6 co-working environments. 3 formal conference rooms and 3 casual ‘huddle’ spaces for team facilitation. Moveable kitchen walls allow for flexibility in the main conference space – from large office meetings to after-hours cocktail parties. Glassy executive suites opening into huddle rooms maintain privacy while retaining the airy, bright feel of the space. Custom furniture paired with clean palette of white and splashes of blue showcase the modernist aesthetic of Edens Corporation.
PCA’s design was implemented across two phases of construction allowing Edens’ 26 employees to continue working during the renovation. The process was coordinated with concurrent building upgrades and finished on schedule and within budget.
