First class architecture and site design will transform the region’s oldest suburban shopping center into a center fitting for the 21st century.
– David Fleming, Corporate Marketing Director, WS Development
406,000 SF mixed-use town center with retail, outdoor dining, restaurants, cafes, office space, Sports Club/LA health and fitness center, and a new cinema complex.
Capitalize on The Street’s prime location in Chestnut Hill to attract a new generation of retailers and create a dynamic, lively destination for metro Boston residents.
A hip new town center has been created using thoughtful design and quality materials that convey a sense of excitement and sophistication. The design concept transforms a suburban strip retail center into a more active mix of specialty retail stores alongside office and entertainment uses. Site planning reorients Route 9 into an ‘urban’ street lined with shops and linked by multiple pedestrian walkways that function as ‘merchant rows’, alive with sidewalk cafes and retailers’ display windows. Parking is re-organized with defined streets and parking lots directly fronting sidewalks and retail entries.
