A 12-acre site in Portsmouth’s West End, this is the first development to use the City’s new Gateway Zoning. The complex transforms a large, paved lot to create new housing (including much-needed workforce housing), retail and office uses for the city, reducing impervious surfaces and forming public green space on site.
PCA’s master planning, architecture and interior design team is creating a new neighborhood, with Live, Work, Play options for a range of tenants. The plan includes two apartment buildings with a mix of studio, 1- and 2-bedroom units, 23 townhomes and a two-story modern-industrial commercial building with retail on the ground floor and office space above. A central plaza – “The Junction”, connects the commercial and residential buildings with an activated public space including a food and beer hall with indoor/outdoor dining.
